Hi STONEITECH,
In the last few days, you helped my work partner to solve some problems with HMI stone STVC070WT-01, now I need your help with the same screen.
I am using the data entry and data variable options for implementing a keyboard but these options only allow values from 0 to 255 and I need to enter values greater than 255. I have changed the variable type but it doesn’t work when I send for example 257 the stored value is 1 and I need the stored value to be 257.
If you can explain this problem I will be very grateful.
Thank you.
Dear Steve:
Thanks for contacting us.
According to the picture you send in the email, the UART returns command:
A5 5A 06 83 00 10 01 01 01
A5 5A: frame head
06: command length
83: read
00 10: variable address of your data entry log
01: data length
01 01: data (hex)So the UART returns the hex value 0101, which is 257 (DEC).
Please notice that all the command is in hex format.
I hope this could answer your questions, and please let me know if you need to know anything else.
Kind Regards
STONEITECHHello STONEITECH,
Thank you for your help, I was able to solve the problem. I also want to ask you if it is possible to retrieve a project from the screen and then modify it. If you can explain how I can do it, I will be very grateful.
The company wants to give you a present for your help, please send us your PayPal or some account to send you the gift.
Hi Steve,
I’m very glad that you can solve the issue.
To retrieve the project from the display, you can copy the VT_SET folder in the display, and use the “import project” function to do it.

And thanks for your kindness to offer me the gift. Please forward my respect to your company.
If your project could get approve and get into the production stage, that would be the biggest gift to us. To help you with the development is our job, there’s no need to give me a personal gift. Maybe in the future when I travel to Spain, we can meet and grab a drink.
Thanks again. Please let me know if you need anything else.

I hope you are well, in this opportunity I want to ask you about the screen error 00 00 00 11, shown in the attached image, I don’t know why this happens.
Also, I want to ask you how I can show the infinity symbol on a keyboard when I press the key with this symbol.
If you can explain how I can solve it, I will be very grateful.
It would be great for you to come to know my country.
Kind regards from Colombia.
Steve
Hi Steve:
The error code 0000 0011 means the serial port received the wrong command. In your picture, it didn’t show the specific error code. So you can continue testing and see if this effects. And you can check the attached error code list in the future.
About the infinity symbol, I’ve talked with the engineer. It seems that the keyboard input doesn’t accept the Unicode symbol. So you can only use the artwork display and data input to create this symbol.
In artwork function, you can switch the +/- symbol into the infinity symbol, so it can display the infinity symbol. But please notice that the actual value it sends still will be the -5 hexadecimal complement, not the actual infinity value.
Please let me know if this would work for you.
And sorry I think you are from Spain. I would love to visit Colombia if possible in the future. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards

Hello,
I have other questions that I want to ask you if it is possible to change the screen image from code without putting any button.
For example, in the attached image I put a button with the key code 1 and I send the command: 0xA5, 0x5A, 0x03, 0x80, 0x4F, 0x01 from code to change the image, but I don’t want to put these buttons because it is possible that the user presses the screen where the button is and the process would be interrupted.
Thank you for your help.
Steve
Thank you for your answer!
I need to ask you about a particular problem. The last few days I used the button type “Button key-value return” on my project and I asked for the button´s direction, this way worked well, but my project requires to do many tasks so sometimes the microcontroller is not able to read the address when the button was pressed. to guarantee the read I used the button type “Incremental adjustment” and on my code, I ask for the value stored on this button. This way is a good option but I need to ask for the state of various buttons at the same time and when I verify the state of each button and I press any of the buttons their status affects that of others.
On the Image1 I use the incremental adjustment0 button to change to the Image2, and on the Image2 I use the incremental adjustment1 to change to the Image1, only when the state is 1. when a button happens I reset the other, but the images change intermittently as I show you on the video. I attached the code in case you find something I’m not doing right and let me know or if there is another way to do the process.
Thank you for your help.
Steve
Hi Steve:
Thanks for the kindly wish. I hope you and your family had a very pleasant new year vacation.
About your question, I’m a little bit confused about the point. From my understanding, the point you are using “incremental adjustment” to switch the page is because you need to switch the page, and in the meantime, you need to send a value (0/1) into a particular address to mark the button or page status, is that correct?
As I saw this might not be a very good solution since you need to add several commands to read and judge the button states and then send the new commands to change the page. This is not very necessary while the display can do the page switch job, and MCU just needs to read the value.
I think the “return pressed key-value” function is enough for your application. Please give me more details so I can help you with the issue.
Please describe again the logic or application you need to achieve in this UI.
Kind Regards
STONEITECHWe already solved the problem. Thank you for always answering our emails.
I take the opportunity to ask you if it is possible to remove the sound of the screen from Code and not from the Screen parameter configuration.

Thank you again!
Steve
Hi Steve:
To set the screen parameters by sending the command, you can write the value into register 1C.

By setting the 5th byte into the register 1C into 0, the buzzer will be turned on. Set the value to 1 can turn off the buzzer.
Kind Regards
