Ok , the Jumper are on the RS232 place , but where can i connect the rs232 connection ?
Where can i connect the RX,TX and Grd from mij RS232 connection ?RS232 is the voltage level, RX,TX is the serial communication, these are two concepts.
For example, suppose you are using an MCU whose level is RS232, but your LCD level is TTL, in order to have normal communication between LCD and MCU, you have to make sure the LCD and MCU level and baud rate are the same. To do this, you will need to solder the resistors or remove them as needed at J17 on the back of the LCD. As shown in the figure below. UART serial communication is information sending and receiving, you just need to connect the TX of the MCU to the DIN of the LCD, RX to DOUT, and GND to GND.The adapter board is used when the LCD is communicating with the computer.

Ok, Now it is clear for me ,
Without Strap on the J17 (display), I have a RS232 level on the DIN and DOUT of the 8 contact cabel (to send the serial command to the Display).
The interface module wil be use only if i wand to load a niew configuration/programmation into the display, OK ? With straps set on RS232 position (P3 on interface module)
What kind of battery, can i put in the battery holder of the display ? (to save, for exemple te time settings or let the RTC running without power supply).
Big thank for your help !
Your quality product looks very interesting and I want to discover it in depth…« interface to download the program » : You mean the USB socket on the interface ? Not this one on the display (J10) ?
If what I say is right, when and for what, is the USB socket on the display (J10) used ?I think that I know the origine of the confusion I have a STVI070WT-01 version , but not the same as the manuel (see foto of my display) I dont have a mini USB on the display to download, I only have de normal USB for a U disk I have a J9 and J6 connectors, wath’s the function ? I read and see a lot of manuels and videos, and I have Still not a practical procedure to download a project Can you please help me, It’s the last information that i need…

thanks for your support !
My actions to test the download :
I make a little modification in the testprogram (changing the configuration of the date D-M-Y)
After generate a new configuration, I copy The files and directory on a Usb mem stick (see attachement)
I put it in the J10 Usb socket
It deleded the file and copy the new file…but error crc error usb !
If I remove the USBmem stick, I receive « Please download prj Files first !
Could you plezase help me ?
J9 is connected to the adapter board, only play a download role, here is a place where customers may need with the installation of the shell, because after the installation of the shell J10 will be blocked.
J6 is the capacitive screen wiring place, J11 is the resistive screen wiring place. From your photo, your screen line connected to J11 should be resistive screen.About your problem when downloading, please upload an image so I can see what the problem is.
I can only offer you two solutions now.
1. when copying a new VT file to the U disk, delete the previous file first to make sure there is only one VT file in the U disk.
2. Formatting the U disk and then try to copy the file again and download it into the LCD.Thank you very much for your patience with my requests.
I still have one last obstacle before I leave you alone ?:
First of all, on this (mine) type of display, I can only load a new configuration via U disk ? because the fast download uses the mini usb which does not exist: True or False?
These last days, I made a lot of tests and here are the results:
Via U disk : if I copy The “VT_set” directory of the “800×480 test project” from your USB memory stick delivered with the display to a other USBmemory stick (mine) and put it on J10 USBsocket: Everything loads impeccably
On the other hand, if I open in TOOLS 4.3 the file “800×480 Test Project. Vt” of this same configuration, and that I make a small modification (move an element slightly of place),
I save, I execute “Generating configuration File” and I “Download to USB” with Usb melmory stick (Completely empty) well recognized: “Download all files succesfully”
When the stick is introduced in J10, the old files are deleted, but when copying “E: \ VT_SET \ 0.jpg CRC error -usb!”
it seems that the generation of the VT_SET poses a problem?
I am under Win10.
Promised, this problem solved, I stop boring you and order other displays? That model of your display can only be downloaded through a U disk, some other models may have mini USB ports.
I’m not sure now why you are having this problem, I suggest you replace this 0.jpg with a different image or delete it and see if you still have the same problem.
If you are willing you can try our new third generation screen, the screen, the software has a great improvement in all aspects.
Hi Lin,
– Ok, It’s now clear, this type of display can only be loaded by Udisk (J10), thank you bancroft
– I reformatted my memorystick (fat32): do not change anything
– If I slightly modify ,on my USB memory stickor on the C drive, a pjd with Paint, it remains accepted
– I wanted to try on another 32b Win7 pc, but not possible to install the software, always receive the message “the software license as expired ….” despite the execution of the instructions (Mscomm32.ocx and register.cmd)
After a lot of test and comparaisons…Good news !!!
I noticed that when I perform “generating configuration file” then “download on USB”, the “VT_SET” directory which copies to the USB memory stick contains 1 more file: “Checksum.bin”
If I delete this file before inserting the USB memory stick into the J10, everything is copied! ?

I’m full busy programming, works really well?
Do you have a explication about the checksum file ?Information about file downloads can be found on page 88 of our user manual. You can try again according to the download steps described in the user manual.
For the problem with the checksum file, I think it may be the case that when you modify the project file and generate the configuration file, you only replace one file instead of a whole file, which will cause the checksum to be wrong.https://www.stoneitech.com/media/upload/LargeFile/TOOL2019-User-Development-Guide-200327.pdf
