Dear David,

Because you bought the A series of high brightness screen, so it is normal to be easily hot in the process of use.

You can try turning down the screen backlight.

Thank you, yes high nit brightness is important for my project.  For testing I will turn down the brightness and plan to add heat sink/fan for final implementation.
