      Hello,

I have three questions and sorry for the long text, but I want make the things clear:

      1. I am trying to use the attribute “Display unit” from Data Variable and this feature looks fine when I am using the default font 0.dzk. But, when I use a custom font generated by Font Generator software I end up with an issue about the space between the numbers. I am selecting the option “Decimal width adjustment”, just like explained on this post: https://forum.stoneitech.com/topic/how-to-generate-the-font/. However, I am not satisfied with the result when I use a font generated by me and I want to know if it is possible to get a better result.

I have taken some screenshots to exemplify.

Image “DataVariable.jpg”: Shows my 6 line test, which I explain with more details below.

Images “line1.PNG” to “line4.PNG” shows the “Data Variable” parameters I used for each line. I would like to get a result like the “line1.PNG”, but using a custom font I am getting “line3.PNG” as result. “line2.PNG” and “line4.PNG” are just to see the impact of marking “Decimal width adjustment”.

      2. I tried to use “Clock variable” too, which is described as “HEX time variable display” on development guide, page 61 (https://www.stoneitech.com/media/upload/LargeFile/TOOL2019-User-Development-Guide-200327.pdf). My problem here is similar to my first question. I want a result like “line5.PNG”, but using a custom font, as I tried on image “line6.PNG”. The problem is the “:” not centered like the image “line5.PNG”, any ideia on how to improve that?

      3. I would like to know how the “0.dzk” font file is generated and its parameters: Font type (arial, calibri, open sans…), Scale (horizontal and vertical) and Shift (Horizontal and vertical). I believe that having this parameters I will be able to generate a font that “fits well”, but with the type that I want.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi Guillherme:

Please send me the screen shot of your font creator software parameter setting and also the project file folder so I can check for you.

And the display unit function is not suggested to use according to the engineer. If you could separate the data part and unit part (unit part made by text input) I think it would be fine.

      Hi Nigel,

Sorry for take too long to answer.

      Test.zip is the project.

clock.PNG is how I generated the font for image line6.png.

data_variable is how I generated the font for images line3.png and line4.png.

        Hi Guillherme:

        Thanks for the information.

I got what you mean. Here I send you the settings and fonts for the 0.dzk (default one).

Please check the picture 2 and 3. The font called “simsun”, which is a Chinese font. I’ve also attached the font in below.

The issue of the font is that only the Chinese font file would put the digits or letters in the center, and also using the equal width characters no matter if it is digits or letters. So that one is the most fitted one for your request.

I’ve attached several other Chinese font for you to choose. I think you might find out one of them fits your request.
